Max Hall Cooper was born at home on January 25, 1936, in Cottonwood, just outside of Oakley, Idaho. He was the 9th of 10 children born to Wesley & Cecil Gladys Hall Cooper. He died February 15,2026 under the care of Highland Estates.
He attended school in Oakley. When he decided he'd had enough school, he purchased a motorcycle & hit the road. He ended up in Seattle for a brief time before returning to Oakley. He met & married Kay McCutchen in 1957. Together they had 3 children: Danny, Debi, & Vince. They were married for 17 years before divorcing. When he met Myrna Teal Taylor he fell instantly in love, they married in February 1981. Myrna had 3 adult sons: Jerry, Kevin & Billy. Max helped raise Myrna's daughter Connie. Throughout his working years he owned & operated several rock quarries in Oakley & Park Valley, Utah. He sold beautiful stones all over the world. Max had many talents. In 1971 he purchased the old Price home doing all the renovations himself with the help of his son Danny & friends. His rock work was, and is, stunning. In his free time, he liked to take rides in the mountains with Myrna. They also liked to fish & garden. Their little garden produced enough to preserve & share. He took pride in keeping his lawn trimmed & green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his soul mate Myrna, 5 brothers & 1 sister. He is survived by his 3 children and four stepchildren. 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Bill & Larry, sister Kathryn, plus numerous nieces & nephews.
Family Urn placement will take place at the Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. There will be no forma funeral. Thank you to Highland Estates & Visions Hospice.
