Carmen Irene Allen passed away peacefully with her children by her side on Saturday April 26th at her son’s home in Rupert Idaho.
Carmen was born in Mound City Kansas to Jesse Ray Wilson and Margret Julia Wilson.
Carmen and her mom relocated to Rupert Idaho where they made their home after the passing of her father.
In Carmen's early years she attended Declo Elementary and Washington High school. In her youth she worked as a soda jerk along with washing milk cans, tying bales and other farm duties. She loved hanging out with her uncles and had many fun adventures with them.
Her mom later married, and she was blessed with her daddy CW McKinzie, and they moved to the family homestead.
Carmen met and later married the love of her life Don on December 23rd, 1950. Carmen and Don were married for over 70 years. Together they had three children Bradley Ray Allen, Julie Anne Allen and Mark Dowain Allen (Teresa).
Carmen, Don and kids traveled and lived in many places around the world. Carmen was a savvy businesswoman and owned many businesses throughout her life. She had an adventurous spirit and would give most of anything a try.
Carmen loved her children and family with all her heart and would do anything for them. In 2020 Carmen choose to retire permanently to her family homestead in Rupert to be closer to her family.
Carmen is survived by her daughter Julie, son Mark (Teresa) 7 grandkids, 20 great grandkids and 8 great great grandkids.
She was proceeded in death by her father Jesse Wilson, mother Margret McKinzie, daddy CW McKinze and son Bradley.
She will be greatly missed by her family. This is not goodbye but see you later.
There will be a family and friends gathering at Morrison Funeral Home located at 188 S Highway 24 Rupert, ID in honor of Carmen on Monday May 5th from 5 to 7 pm.
There will be a later Urn placement at the Rupert Cemetery.
