– Billie Wade Jones, age 51, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, during his fourth battle of cancer until ischemic stroke took his earthy life.

He was born on September 21, 1971, of Jerry Arlis Jones and Bonnie Faye Hoskins. He had two brothers, Richard and Duston Jones, and two sisters, Linda Meissner and Tammy (Jeff) Pruitt. Billie grew up in the Kimberly and Twin Falls area and attended Kimberly High School. He graduated with a Technical Certificate in Electronic Technology from the College of Southern Idaho and an Associates of Applied Science in Electronic RF/telcom Technology from Idaho State University. He continued his education with multiple certificates pertaining to his interest in technology. He made good use of his education becoming employed with Project Mutual Telephone as a telephone installation and repair/CATV technician. He later enlisted in the United Stated Army and achieved the rank of E5, or Sergeant, while he worked as a microwave systems operator. After being honorably discharged in 2005, he returned to Project Mutual Telephone as an Advanced Service Technician. As he continued to better himself, he became a part of the Minidoka County team as an IT director and then later became an IT consultant for Eminent Technical Solutions.

Billie was married to Linnie in June of 1994 and welcomed their only child and son to the world in April of 1999. He watched as his son grew into a young man and made a family of his own and loved being Lolo (Grandpa) to his grandson. He cared much for his family and not much else brought him such joy.

One of Billie’s favorite hobbies was playing video games and did much of it with his son. He looked forward to the summer months when he could spend more time with his family boating, fishing, target shooting, and spending time on his motorcycle with Tyler.

Billie is survived by his wife, Linnie; his son; Tyler; and his two brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Mountain View Christian Center, located at 317 W 27th Street, Mountain View Lane in Burley, with Pastor Joshua Merchant officiating. Military rites will be provided. A donation account has been setup at Firts Federal Savings Bank for the Jones family.  Monies donated will go towards the Bill Jones Education Scholarship Fund. Funeral arrangements are made under the direction of  Morrison Funeral Home, Rupert, Idaho.

Linnie I am so very sorry for your loss....Tammy Parton

I just found out you passed today. I'm sorry I missed your memorial and I'm sorry I didn't reach out more to chat or check-in on you the last few months. I know we weren't formally partners during our time working together but you had my back, I appreciate that. You were the closest thing I had to a partner in my career and I will always remember you and continue to share the stories we made together so you will live on in not just my own memories but also in the minds of the people I share those memories with.

I wanted to call you earlier this week and see if you were still willing to help me with something we had discussed before. I guess I'm on my own. It's alright, I was really using it as an excuse to call you and gossip. I suppose I still can gossip to you, I just won't hear your thoughts on things. I'm sure that's fine though because as you know, I'm a bit of a motor-mouth when it comes to our discussions. I can keep doing that. The world is a little dimmer without you in it. Take care my friend.... Vincent Sandstoe
